Once a registry office, the garden was municipal and uninspiring. We created a garden to be interactive alongside the ever changing exhibitions inside the art gallery. A community garden planted with fruit trees, a small vegetable plot, a herb garden and meadow flowers. A local childrens group runs the weekly growing in the vegetable garden. Winding hoggin paths and grass hillocks for children to gather and play. Tucked in seating to stop and be still in the midst of a busy market town. Since the original design I have been back to create a planting plan for plants grown for dyes. These are now used for workshops within the gallery. It is a vibrant and well used space.
